Websters ag lime is free flowing, with high fines percentage for immediate results capable of being spread through land spreader and aeroplane.
Websters ag lime is Fertmark registered a standard regulated by federated farmers to guarantee the quality of your lime.

Agricultural lime is a completely natural way to improve your pastures health and increase pasture growth and stock live weight, with no adverse affects to your surrounding environment.

The primary reason for applying Agricultural lime is to increase your soil PH, that in turn offers the following benefits:

  • Increased pasture production, which leads to increased animal live weights.
  • Liming unlocks the full potential of your fertiliser programme, at optimal PH levels your phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, nitrogen and other trace elements become available to your plant matter, these would otherwise remain unavailable in acidic soils.
  • Ag Lime is a low cost option for increasing pasture growth, in lean times it will give you great results at a fraction of the cost of other fertilisers.
  • Ag Lime assist with drainage by improving soil structure by improving the tilth and crumb formations.
  • Ag Lime sweetens the soil often making pastures more palatable to stock.
  • Lime stimulates growth in legumes and clovers.
  • Ag lime can reduce stock health problems by providing better more available grazing creating a healthier environment.
  • Ag Lime promotes worm and bacteria activity necessary for maintaining healthy soil.

Caution must be taken as to much Lime applied can “over correct” the PH and have a negative affect on your pasture growth.
Calving cows must not be put on limed pastures for up to two weeks after lime spreading.

Websters Lime is unique in Hawkes Bay as we are able to offer Burnt Lime for soil and road stabilisation.
Lime stabilisation has been around for centuries; it is an efficient and cost effective way to improve the workability and load bearing characteristics of your farm track or driveway.

The two main benefits in lime stabilisation is the drying effect it has on wet soils commonly utilised in the building industry on wet access roads and building pads reducing their down time, and the most important, substantially increasing the load bearing characteristics of your subgrade while still maintaining a level of flexibility, particularly effective on clay soils typical in Hawkes Bay.
A stabilised driveway will dramatically increase to durability of your sub base and surface layers.

Fine Ground limestone or Lime flour comes from the same high quality limestone as our Ag Lime but it is ground to a top size of 100 microns, the fine nature of the products means it has a higher reactivity rate becoming available to plant matter immediately offering an initial “punch” to your PH levels.

This product is idea for pastures that are in need of immediate PH correction. It is applied as a liquid fertiliser typically with other elements, to have a quick impact on your pasture growth and cropping programmes.

At Websters we supply Limeflour to the dairy industry to prevent milk fever immediately after calving. To prevent Milk fever start dosing immediately after calving for at least 4 days (colostrum period) and as long as several weeks or moths. The dose rate is generally 100-300g per cow per day.

To use as a drench mix one part fine Limeflour with four parts water stir regularly and flush equipment after use.
To dose calcium deficient cows Limeflour can be added t maze or field cereals at a rate of 50-300g per cow per day or add to the feed at a arte of 60-100 per Kg of feed on a wet basis.

******* Do not feed to Cows in their last two months of pregnancy*******

Lime flour is used extensively for industrial applications, such as in glues, polymers, fillers and paints etc.

Websters Hydrated Lime is sourced and manufactured onsite from a high quality deposit. Our hydrated lime is tested in our onsite lab to ensure the product maintains a high standard.
It is a hugely versatile product being utilised for a number of industrial purposes, being a natural nontoxic product hydrated lime is ideal in a number of applications, where harmful chemicals may be employed.

  • Water treatment: Hydrated lime is an effective flocculent, removing course material by forming a fluffy charged solid that aids in removing smaller particles from water, leaving you with a clear pond after settlement. In municipal water treatment once Hydrated Lime is added to water it will raise the PH level neutralising any acids, this will help maintain healthy pipes, Hydrated Lime will actively kill bacteria and germs, which helps in the purification process.
  • Wastewater: Hydrated Lime absorbs heavy metals and phosphates as well as neutralising Hydrogen sulphide, which cause a lot of the smell.
Hydrated lime assist in the settling process, which reduces the detrimental effects commonly associated with wastewater over flows.
Hydrated Lime is ideal for treating effluent ponds created for intensive farming operations, leaving you with a product that is more beneficial when used as a fertiliser.
  • CO2 absorption: Hydrated Lime is used extensively to naturally absorb CO2 from the atmosphere, ideal for use in cool stores where fruit benefit from a CO2 reduced environment.
  • Tanning industry: Hydrated lime is added to the process to soften the pelt and to maintain the correct PH levels. It is also widely used to treat any waste by products from the tanning process.
  • Herbicide development: Hydrated Lime widely used to produce a number of herbicidal products
  • Pulp and paper: Hydrated Lime assist in the bleaching process.

Websters Burnt lime (Calcium Oxide) is sourced and manufactured onsite from a high quality deposit. Our Burnt lime is tested in our onsite lab to ensure the product maintains a high standard.
Burnt Lime is used extensively in the building and construction sectors but is also very effective in a number of agricultural applications.

  • Roading and construction: Lime stabilisation has been around for centuries, it is an efficient and cost effective way to improve the workability and load bearing characteristics for a variety of different applications.
The two main benefits in lime stabilisation is the drying effect it has on wet soils commonly utilised in the building industry on wet access roads and building pads reducing their down time. The most important benefit is substantially increasing the load bearing characteristics of your subgrade while still maintaining a level of flexibility, particularly effective on clay soils typical in Hawkes Bay and around New Zealand This is why Burnt lime is used throughout New Zealand for stabilising our roads.
  • Bio solid treatment: Burnt Lime is effective for speeding up the natural decomposition process, hugely effective for neutralising and drying back bio sludge material before disposal.
Burnt Lime will actively kill bacteria and germs, which helps in the purification process and once the PH level is increased and the germs killed off Burnt Lime significantly reduce odours. (Great for offal pits and septic tanks)
Hydrated lime has the added benefit of absorbing heavy metals further reducing the toxic nature of bio solids before they are dumped.
  • Agriculture: Burnt lime is a very effective PH correction tool, more so than agricultural of hydrated Lime. It is often used to give a spike in PH killing bacteria or “sterilising the soil” effective if the area is prone to bacterial diseases. Used extensively in Brassica production as an effective tool for preventing club root.
